Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and protect your personal information.
Last updated: 16 May 2026
Olivia Hamper ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
When you reserve a hamper or contact us through our website, we may collect:
- Identity information: your name and the recipient's name
- Contact details: email address, phone number, delivery suburb and address
- Order details: chosen hamper, customisations, card message, delivery date and time preference, special requests
- Payment information: processed securely by Stripe — we do not store your card details on our servers
- Website usage data: anonymous analytics (pages visited, device type, approximate location) via Google Analytics
How we use your information
- To confirm, prepare and deliver your reservation
- To send you the secure Stripe payment link and order updates
- To respond to your questions and special requests
- To send occasional marketing emails about new hampers and seasonal offers (only if you've opted in)
- To improve our website and service quality
- To comply with Australian tax and business record-keeping laws
Third parties we share data with
We only share your information with trusted services that help us run the business:
- Stripe — secure payment processing (see Stripe's privacy policy)
- Netlify — website hosting and form submission delivery
- Google Analytics — anonymous website usage statistics
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — anonymous conversion tracking via Meta Pixel for advertising effectiveness
- Delivery services — when applicable (Uber Direct, Sherpa, or similar), we share only the recipient's name, address and phone number
We never sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
Cookies and tracking
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences (such as dismissing the EOFY banner) and to measure traffic. You can disable cookies in your browser settings — most of the site will continue to work.
Marketing emails
If you tick the "Subscribe to our newsletter" box during reservation, we'll occasionally send you updates about new hampers, seasonal offers and Adelaide events. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email, or by emailing us directly.
Data retention
We keep your order information for 7 years to comply with Australian tax record-keeping requirements. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Form submissions for unfulfilled inquiries are kept for 12 months.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act, you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal record-keeping obligations)
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time
- Make a complaint about how we've handled your information
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@oliviahamper.com.au. We respond within 30 days.
Security
We protect your information with industry-standard measures: HTTPS encryption on every page, secure payment processing through Stripe (PCI-DSS compliant), and limited access to customer data. While no online system is 100% impervious, we treat your information with the same care we put into every hamper.
Children
Our services are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here with an updated "last updated" date. Significant changes affecting how we handle your data will be communicated via email if you're on our list.
